The I.P.S. will award a special rosette to the Best Rider in the Lead Rein & First Ridden Classes, whose pony has a current showing card.
* N.B. A rosette will be awarded to the best turned out pony & rider in classes 24 - 40a. One rosette only may be won by the same combination of child & pony.
* N.B. A special 2000 commemorative trophy will be awarded to the winners of each class in the pony section.

CLASS 26 First Ridden Pony Class for ponies, mares or geldings, 4 years old and over, not exceeding 123 cms., suitable for and to be ridden by children who have not attained their 10th birthday on 1st January 2000.
CLASS 27 Handy Pony Class, for ponies not exceeding 148 cms. To be ridden by children who have not attained their 16th birthday on 1st January 2000. This class will be judged on Conformation, Turnout, Manners and the performance of a simple task. Class confined to ponies and riders stabled and resident within 10 miles of the Showgrounds. Ponies in classes 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, excluded. Riders of prize winners in classes 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, excluded. This class MAY NOT be won by the same rider more than once.
CLASS 28 Open 128 cms. Riding Class for ponies, mares and geldings, 4 years old and over, not exceeding 128 cms., suitable for and to be ridden by children who have not attained their 13th birthday on 1st January 2000.
CLASS 29 Open 138 cms. Riding Class for ponies, mares and geldings, 4 years old and over, exceeding 128 cms., but not exceeding 138 cms, suitable for and to be ridden by children who have not attained their 15th birthday on 1st January 2000.
CLASS 30 Open 148 cms. Riding Class, for ponies, mares or geldings, 4 years old and over exceeding 138 cms., but not exceeding 148 cms. Suitable for and to be ridden by children who have not attained their 17th birthday on 1st January 2000.
CLASS 31 Novice Riding Class for ponies, mares or geldings, 4 y.o. and over not exceeding 138 cms., suitable for and to be ridden by children of correct age. Single ring snaffle bridles to be used.
CLASS 32 Novice Riding Class for ponies, mares or geldings, 4 years old and over exceeding 138 cms., but not exceeding 148 cms., to be ridden by children of correct age. Single ring snaffle bridle to be used.
CLASS 32a Open Intermediate Show Riding Type. For mares or geldings, 4 years old & over, exceeding 148cms and not exceeding 158cms. Riders not to have attained their 25th birthday on 1st January of current year.
